Yoga Nidra

Join us for a deeply restorative, healing practice. Yoga nidra, which means "yogic sleep," is a guided meditation and full-body relaxation that promotes connection with your inner self and allows you to rest and recharge. Yoga nidra is done lying down, and props such as bolsters, blankets, and pillows can be used to ensure comfort. No prior yoga experience is necessary. 

This yoga nidra practice will be led by Samantha Knies Gray, RYT, of Firehorse Yoga in Jasper. Cost is $15. (Tell City Yoga Center students with existing class passes may use 2 of their class punches in lieu of the $15 payment.)

Meditation Workshop

Would you like to start a meditation practice or deepen your existing one? Are you convinced you "can't sit still" long enough to meditate? In this workshop, we'll demystify meditation so that you can cultivate a meditation practice that works for you. We'll cover the benefits of establishing a meditation practice, explore some different methods, and discuss how to easily incorporate meditation into your daily life. The workshop will wrap up with a soothing group meditation so you leave feeling relaxed and renewed.

$5 Hatha Yoga Community Class

Want to get a taste of yoga? This one-hour, $5 class is perfect for new students who want to give yoga a try or existing yoga students who want to participate in a fun, foundational class for half the price of the typical single-class rate. 

(Students with existing class passes can opt to pay $5 for this class rather than using a class from their pass.)

$5 Community Gentle Yoga Class

Want to try Gentle Yoga? Join us for this $5, one hour community class. This yoga practice will include gentle seated stretches, slow, intentional movement, and a couple of restorative yoga poses. Gentle Yoga is appropriate for anyone who would like to experience a slower-paced class. 

(Students with existing class passes can opt to pay $5 for this class rather than using a class from their pass.)

Basics of Yoga Workshop

Suitable for new and experienced yogis alike, this workshop will break down some of the most common yoga poses. If you're new to yoga, this is a great way to learn some of the basics to get you started. If you already have yoga experience, especially if it's been mostly a home practice, this workshop is a great refresher.

When our alignment is off in a pose, we're more susceptible to injury and less likely to reap the benefits of that pose. In this workshop, we'll go through the selected poses step-by-step. At the end of the workshop, students will be guided through a short yoga practice containing what we've covered. Attendees will receive a packet outlining the poses and some additional yoga info/resources.

This workshop is $25 ($20 for first 5 people who sign up). This is a great value, as in larger cities similar workshops often cost $40 or more. For this event, please sign up ahead of time. To sign up or ask questions, email Jennifer at info@tcyogacenter.com.
